A significant severe weather outbreak moved through Stennis Space Center earlier today with damaging winds and rain. The weather left many downed trees and powerlines and affected some buildings and roads. Power has been restored to most facilities. We will coordinate directly with those still affected as we quickly work to restore service campus-wide. Roadways have been mostly cleared except for Lower Gainesville heading towards the river. The Center will be open tomorrow, April 11. Small debris may still be on roadways. Employees should use caution if driving onsite. As previously communicated, the cafeteria will be closed until Tuesday, April 16. Food options may be limited onsite tomorrow. The South Reception Center and North Reception Center will be open for visitor badging. PIV badging and Common Access Card (CAC) Registration will be unavailable at this time. Should employees receive press inquiries please forward the requests to calvin.l.thompson@nasa.gov Questions concerning Center Operations can be sent to: michael.f.tubbs@nasa.gov
